National Outreach Programs

Appalachia Service Project A TUMC team takes an annual trip to repair housing in Appalachia.

American Indian College Fund  The Timonium UMC budget supports this fund which provides scholarships to colleges in Oklahoma, Michigan, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota etc..

Chinese Outreach Scholar Ministry contributions for ministry with students from China in universities & colleges in Pennsylvania, California, Illinois, Minnesota etc.

Pumpkin Patch a church project that sells pumpkins, grown on Indian Reservations in New Mexico, as income for growers and fund raiser for Timonium UMC.

UMCOR relief, Oklahoma City, OK (tornado relief 2013)

UMCOR flood buckets are assembled by members, sent to UMCOR depot for use in emergency or necessary situations e.g. Floods in PA, NM, NC, CO, MO and fire in CA

International Programs

Afghanistan TUMC’s Nimble Fingers” prepared mufflers for U.S. military serving in Afghanistan.

Church World Service Blankets for disaster and emergency situations in the U.S. and other countries.  Pick a recent natural disaster, earthquake, flooding, tornado etc.  CWS blankets were probably sent there.  Their supplies are packed and ready for emergencies.  Indonesia, Philippines, Colorado, North Carolina, New Mexico

Curamericas, our budget supports Curamericas, which provides basic healthcare, clean water for women and children in Bolivia, Guatemala, Haiti, Liberia & Kenya

Haiti United Methodist Women sent a donation to Coins for Haiti.

Imagine No Malaria TUMC Vacation Bible School and other contributions for nets to prevent spread of malaria in Africa.

Missionary, Victor Taryor is a nurse and the Hospital Administrator of Ganta Hospital, a teaching hospital, in Ganta, Liberia.

Missionary Miguel Mairena, attorney and advocate for women and community associations, health and education in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua Center of Studies for Peace and Development, a donation was sent.

Volunteers In Mission (VIM) to the Dominican Republic, 2013 construction and ministries of Christian presence (Vacation Bible School).

Volunteers In Mission (VIM) to Guatemala, 2012, construction and medical services in rural Guatemala.

Volunteers In Mission (VIM) to Piura, Peru, 2012, ministry of presence and service, teaching sewing skills to women to make saleable items.
