We know that many people don’t think church helps them in their daily lives. So we talk about relevant topics like relationships, addiction, loneliness, grief, poverty, and having compassion for people who are different.
We believe that God loves us, and through Christ, God offers us the tools to deal with life’s challenges. Then it becomes our responsibility to respond to that love by using those tools to help someone else. Through worship and other activities we offer that love and those tools to you, no matter who you are or what your life circumstances may be.
Not convinced? That’s fine. All we can do is ask you to check us out. We have two very different Sunday worship services that deal with the same important topics:
Our traditional service is for those of you who want traditional music, hymns, organ music, and a sermon on relevant topics of the day. It’s at 10:00 a.m. On Sunday morning. Some people dress formally, but many others don’t. How you dress simply doesn’t matter to us.
Our contemporary service is very different. We have a band, use videos to introduce the theme of the day, and people are free to ask questions and discuss the topic. We even give you a “Practical Resource” that gives you more information on the topic that you can take home. We gather for light refreshments on Sundays at 11:45 a.m., start worship with the band at noon and are done by 1:00 p.m.
So come with your questions! Will we have all the answers? Probably not. But we can promise you this: we will join you in trying to find them.
Feel free to check out the rest of this web site, or give us a call at 410 - 252 - 5500. Or just show up! We hope to meet you, soon.
We’re at 2300 Pot Spring Road in Timonium, centrally located between Towson and Cockeysville.
