The Rock Retreat is coming up fast! It’s January 26 - 28, in Ocean City. Confirmands, youth and young adults are all encouraged to attend. Registration forms are available from the web site Church News Page or from the Church Office.

John Austin’s Monday Night Bible Study has resumed. They will be participating in a study on prayer called Moving Mountains. Everyone is invited!

New Bible Study - Mike Varlotta’s Monday Night in the Chapel Class will be starting a new study on Monday, January 23rd. “That the World Might Know: Israel’s Mission” will be a five week series. Everyone is welcome to participate. Talk to Mike about getting the study guide.

There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive here at TUMC on Tuesday, January 16, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall.

Deacon’s Trunk - Week of January 10  - Our Food Pantry is running low on the following items: cereal, boxed shelf milk, peanut butter, jelly, canned pasta with meat. Please remember that we cannot give out any food that is past the expiration date. Thanks for your help!

2018 Jim Royer Memorial Scholarship - Application forms for the 2018 Jim Royer Memorial Scholarship are available for download by going to the church web site News Page, or from Jani in the Church Office. The 2018 recipient will receive an award of $1000, payable for the 2018-2019 school year. Application deadline is March 31, 2018. We welcome your support of the program. Please designate the TUMC Jim Royer Memorial Scholarship Program for your contributions, which can be sent to the Church Office of placed in an offering plate.

Conference Scholarships Available  - Once again, the Baltimore-Washington Conference will be awarding scholarships for qualified students currently attending college, as well as high school seniors who plan to attend college in the fall of 2018. The application process opened Jan. 3 and will close March 7, 2018. 

A variety of scholarships are offered. To be considered for a scholarship, students must complete the full online application which includes uploading their current transcripts. In addition, the student must provide contact information for their pastor and one additional church reference. The entire process will be done online for ease of the student, pastor, and reference. Go to the church web site News Page and click on the link to get more information or to apply.
